Pain, discomfort, or any lack in ease of movement can be aided by manual therapy. I combine CranioSacral treatment techniques developed by Dr. John Upledger with other manual treatment techniques to treat both adults and children.
The craniosacral system involves the production, circulation, and reabsorption of the cerebrospinal fluid that protects and nourishes our brain and central nervous system. Using a light noninvasive touch, I am able to feel the rhythms of the craniosacral system and relieve tensions in the body that also affect nervous system function and mood. In addition, manual therapy can aid in fluid movement, and relieve localized or generalized pain. Areas deep within the body respond to the light pressure used in craniosacral treatments. There is no painful stretching of tight muscles or heavy pressure. Treatment is performed with the patient fully clothed on the treatment table.
